2012 Miss Kansas Pageant Week

Hello all,

I am so very sorry I have been absent for such a long while. I will give you a little bit of a run down of the past couple of weeks and exciting upcoming events.

Last week was an event called "Frontier Festival" in El Dorado, Kansas. I emceed my first pageant, which we are hoping the winners in the Teen and Miss divisions will be competing on the Miss Kansas stage next June. I was a co- emcee with Jeremy Sundgren. He is a hoot! The audience said they enjoyed us feeding off of each other when we had to entertain the audience. It was a great night with lovely ladies. It is always so uplifting to see so many young ladies setting goals for themselves and striving to be better. They all learned a lot from the experience and I was so glad to see good sportsmanship.

bg_h21Friday night of the festival I was able to let loose and have a little fun after the hard work Thursday night. I was able to see the rodeo, eat BBQ, and meet GLORIANA! Miss Kansas is a very hard, but rewarding job. However, it is always nice to have a little time for fun. I was so thankful to Paige Harris for inviting me to the event. Gloriana was wonderful. They sound just like they do on the radio. Great vocalists and very sweet people.

Saturday morning was the Frontier Festival parade, which was my first parade appearance as Miss Kansas. The people in El Dorado were so welcoming and we had a great turn out for the parade. It didn't rain like we thought it was going to either...thank goodness. It was a great weekend, but I am a little tired after all of that.

I am still preparing heavily for the Miss America pageant in January. I am so excited we are back on our home network ABC!!!!! I have been waiting for this moment all my life and I can't believe it is a reality finally. I am also very excited to go watch my lil sis Caitlyn Webb (Miss Kansas Outstanding Teen) at Miss America's Outstanding Teen. I am so extremely proud of this young lady, I know she will shine and make Kansas proud.

I am so thrilled that our local pageants are starting to form. We are hoping to have even more contestants this year. It is always neat to meet all the young ladies throughout the state who are making a change in their own communities. I am very excited to get started with that.

Please keep Caitlyn and me in your prayers. We are so blessed to be in these positions and enjoy every minute of it. We both travel so much and we both would kindly appreciate your prayers for our safety. Thank you so much for all of your kindness and support.
